Palimpsest World Map

A map of the World in a Timeline that I have been working on for a while... wanted to get it down visually for some time now, so finally did.

Basically (and I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have about this world's timeline), the timeline of my world started as a thought experiment related to DC comics' Elseworlds series many years back. I came up with a world in which Superman had landed in Germany just a little after The Great War, and was raised by a good German couple (Mother a Jew) in the small village of Kleindorf. Over the years I just added more and more to this world's history - many aspects of the supernatural are real, so this world has Zombies, Vampires, Elves and other Magic Folk, and Wizards.

For the most part - history roughly follows that of OT, (with a few minor fluctuations to national borders here and there) until World War Two when Nazi Germany, on the verge of losing the war in Europe, abandons the battlefield, and launches a full scale attack on Australia using the next generation of Super Weapons (and of course, Übermensch himself). The speed and devastating absoluteness of the attack, combined with war-weariness leaves the Allies unwilling to continue/re-start the war, and an uneasy peace falls across the globe.

With all German territory depopulated (when I said they abandoned the battlefield I meant it), the reamaining European powers gave the land to the Jews. The USSR gobbled up chunks of Eastern and Southern Europe, and over the next few decades a series of smaller wars saw the establishment of the current state of affairs - a three way Cold War between the United States and the democratic nations of Europe, the USSR, and the Fascist Powers (South Africa, Neu Deutschland, and Argentina) - (the Japanese Empire is extremely isolationist, it's only real interaction with the rest of the world comes from the guerrilla war being fought against it by the remnants of the Australian resistance)
